Hospice programs are called, not only to serve the individual experiencing a life-limiting illness, but also his or her family and the community. Our bereavement programs are aimed at helping people move toward a healthy adjustment to the many changes in their lives after a death in the family.

Family Support
Catholic Hospice has a personal, caring bereavement team of professionals that serves families during and following the death of a loved one receiving hospice care. The service continues through at least the one-year anniversary date of the death. In addition, Catholic Hospice provides annual Memorial Services for remembrance of a loved one.

Bereavement Support Groups
Catholic Hospice provides on-going bereavement support groups through out the Miami-Dade Community, which are facilitated by experienced counselors. The support groups are free and open to the community.  For our list of dates and times of support groups, click here.

Grief in the Workplace /Crisis intervention Program:
Catholic Hospice Bereavement professionals deal with the issues of grief every day. As a result, they are experienced in responding effectively to a crisis. Our team is available to assist in helping our community cope with loss through special programs:

Crisis Intervention for the community after a catastrophic event, such as Hurricane Andrew

Professional staff trained in Jewish rituals and traditions and sensitive to the needs of people of Jewish faith
