Facilities

Camp Hope is held annually at Camp Choee in Miami, Florida.
The camp consists of air-conditioned cabins, meeting/dining
room, a fully equipped kitchen, pool, sports field, and camp
fire. Campers dine with their cabin mates and counselors,
and meals are served family-style. All meals and snacks
will be provided by the
camp. Campers will be grouped in cabins according to
age/gender. Each cabin will be staffed with two counselors,
including a mental health professional.
Staff
The camp is
under the direction of a licensed mental health counselor,
and all volunteers complete a training program prior to
their participation in the camp program. Our professional
staff is trained and qualified to assist bereaved children.
The Camp Hope staff includes physicians, nurses, social
workers, bereavement counselors, and trained volunteers. All
activities will be closely supervised, and there will be a
certified lifeguard on duty at all times during swim
activities. Camp Hope will not only be a learning and
healing experience, but also a fun and enjoyable weekend.
